Ron became part of the Lake of the Pines community in 1971. Since then, he has remained an active, engaged member - contributing to the growth, activities, and governance of the community.

Helping build the activities and amenities members enjoy today

  • Co-founded the Sports Activity Club (SAC) in 2011

  • Helped introduce Pickleball to Lake of the Pines

  • SAC President (2011–2015), Treasurer (2015–2022)

  • Early contributor to the Bocce program and Pickleball Committee

  • Volunteer for community events, including 4th of July activities

  • Supported lake swim and recreational programs

  • Helped organize and support waterski and community recreation programs in the 1980s

Waterfowl Management Leadership (15+ Years)

  • Developed and led Lake of the Pines’ goose management program for over 15 years

  • Implemented humane, non-lethal management strategies aligned with national guidelines

  • Worked with federal, state, and county agencies to support responsible wildlife management

  • Maintained permitting and compliance requirements

  • Conducted lake surveys and hands-on management efforts (volunteer)

  • Focused on protecting water quality and reducing environmental impact

  • Advocated for maintaining a consistent, structured management plan to support compliance and long-term lake health
