Ron’s Priorities
A practical, members-first approach to governance at Lake of the Pines
Members FirstÂ
Decisions should reflect the needs of the entire community - not just a few.
Â
Ron will work to keep Lake of the Pines affordable and responsive to the needs of all members.

The Board exists to serve the community. That means listening to members, encouraging involvement, and advocating for member input - including votes on major community decisions when appropriate.
Clear information builds trust and leads to better decisions.

Members deserve clear, timely, and accurate information about decisions that affect their homes, community, and finances.

Ron will advocate for:
-
Open, consistent communication
-
Clear and understandable financial reporting
-
Fewer closed-door decisions
-
Easy, reliable access to Association records in line with members’ rightsÂ
-
Board and Association meetings available by Zoom and recorded to ensure accuracy and equal access to information
TransparencyÂ
Accountability
Leadership means taking responsibility and earning trust.

Board members must follow the law, follow the governing documents, and take responsibility for their decisions.

Accountability means:
-
Upholding fiduciary duty
-
Explaining decisions openly
-
Applying rules fairly and consistently
-
Respecting due process
-
Being answerable to the membership
Smart financial decisions protect both today's homeowners and the future of our community.

Our community must live within its means.

Ron will work to:
-
Keep Lake of the Pines affordable for all members
-
Question unnecessary or excessive spending
-
Prioritize essential services
-
Protect long-term financial stability
Responsible Spending
Fair & Consistent Governance
Rules should be applied fairly — without favoritism or selective enforcement.

Governance should never be used as a tool for retaliation, intimidation, or selective enforcement.

Ron believes every member deserves:
-
Fair treatment
-
Due process
-
Respectful engagement
Community Focus
A strong community are built on trust, respect, communication, and shared purpose.

Ron believes in:
-
Listening to members
-
Encouraging constructive input
-
Reducing unnecessary conflict
-
Focusing on solutions - not division
A healthy community depends on respectful communication. Personal attacks are not productive and should never be part of how we interact with one another.

At the same time, transparency and accountability require that members feel comfortable asking questions, raising concerns, and requesting information. That is not a personal attack - it is part of responsible governance.

Those who choose to serve in leadership roles should expect to be held accountable and be open to feedback.

Ron understands that accountability comes with the role and welcomes questions, input, and concerns from members.

When handled respectfully, this kind of engagement makes our community stronger.
